About The Social Studio
Since 2009, The Social Studio has worked alongside refugee and new migrant creatives across Melbourne, empowering more than 800 people with supportive and innovative approaches to education and training in fashion, design and the creative arts.

TSS' not-for-profit social enterprise model supports a free, RMIT-accredited Cert III program in clothing production, an Ethical Clothing Australia-accredited manufacturing studio and a socially-conscious retail venture promoting BIPOC designers and makers. They also offer additional skills workshops, homework clubs, social sewing and craft sessions for their community, as well as paid internship opportunities within their manufacturing team.
